Upload Speed Tester

The Upload Speed Tester Tool is a simple web application that helps you measure your internet connection's basic upload speed. It does this by measuring the time it takes to upload a small amount of dummy data to a public echo service. Here's how it works: Start Upload Test Button: Click this button to begin the speed test. Loading Indicator: While the test is in progress, you'll see messages like "Generating data and uploading..." to indicate the current status. Upload Speed: After the test completes, this section will display your calculated upload speed in Megabits per second (Mbps) and Kilobytes per second (KBps). Upload Time: This shows the duration (in seconds) it took to upload the test data. Error Messages: If there are any issues during the upload (e.g., network problems, or if the test URL is unreachable), an error message will be displayed. Important Note: This tool performs a client-side simulation of an upload by sending data to a public echo service (httpbin.org/post). This service simply returns the data back to the client and does not store it. While this provides a good estimate of your browser's upload capabilities, it's not a full-fledged server-side speed test.
